Background
Although Rotterdam has long held the reputation of most extensively developed urban area in the Netherlands, the city wants to keep up with the pace of international urban innovation. Plans are underway to consolidate our leading position by complementing our skyscrapers and other architectural landmarks with a truly monumental innovation: the Dutch Windwheel.
Our mission
Starting out as a wild idea, the Windwheel is rapidly becoming the new epitome of Dutch skyline design. The Rodesk Tribe eagerly joined in to bolster the cutting-edge identity and international allure of this promising project.
The project's initial phase entailed a fiery briefing on the great potential of this future landmark and the ambitions behind it. The excitement caught on, and so we immediately suggested a visual statement in the form of a detailed identity and an informative website.
Brand & identity
The Dutch Windwheel will be the sustainable icon and future landmark in Europe’s largest port city. An attraction with unprecedented global reach and a showcase for Dutch design & Innovation. That demands a modern and clean identity.
Meet the dutch windwheel
The identity embodies the original shape of the structure: two rings consisting of offices, shops, a hotel, and a futuristic Ferris wheel inspired by its London Eye counterpart. The iconic character of the existing website, featuring artist impressions of the landmark's structure, inspired us to raise the stakes for the second phase.

Spectacular attraction
The state-of-the-art design consists of two three-dimensional rings with a light and open steel and glass construction. Because the foundation lies underwater, it looks as if Dutch "Windwheel" is floating. That architectural design can be found in the website as well.

The recognizable ring has become the main attraction on the website as well
