Background

Sure, we’ll jump to attention whenever we get approached by a brewer of craft beer for cycling enthusiasts – and that is exactly how à Bloc introduced themselves to us. À Bloc were looking for a platform; for promoting their brews, obviously, but also to have cyclists invite each other to accept challenges and set out on great pedalling adventures together. As goes without saying, an assignment such as this easily gets the Tribe to shift gears and get cracking.

Our Mission

By joining à Bloc in developing the challenges, we arrived at a blueprint for an engaging website that challenges visitors to actively participate. From there, we proceeded by developing the website into a full-fledged information platform presenting the challenges alongside everything there is to know about the various kinds of craft beer and where to buy them – just the combination that à Bloc was looking for.

Challenge Accepted

The new website sparks mutual activity between visitors. The challenges bind different users together by inspiring them through attractive tours, both domestic and abroad. At the same time, the à Bloc target audience is brought into focus and within reach: by leaving your personal details, you get to challenge your friends and commit to a great cycling tour together.

Selling Beer

Selling Beer

Now, as much fun as cycling, friendship, and wheeled adventures may be, a beer brand obviously wants to sell beer, eventually. That’s why we made sure that both elements are firmly interwoven throughout the website’s overall structure: you’ll find pathways and lead-throughs to the beer brands all over the place. The site itself features a range of ways to invite you to visit the retail points, to personally raise a glass and let the taste of à Bloc do the talking.

CarPark CannonBall

In addition to the corporate à Bloc website, we built an event website especially for the competition format they came up with: pedalling your way up a car park as fast as possible. This CarPark CannonBall turned out to be as successful as it was sensational: once you’ve seen the aftermovie, entering a car park will never be the same again…

"We have an outspoken idea on the brand promise and target group approach of À BLOC. The Rodesk team has brought this to the next level in the website. Through commitment, empathy, flexibility, professionalism and problem-solving abilities. Without the click, humor and Rotterdam mentality we would have never gotten this far this quickly."
